Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our team in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This role is ideal for a provider with a strong background in endocrinology who values clinical autonomy, professional growth, and the opportunity to help shape the direction of a new practice. Fort Mill is in a very desirable location – 3 hours from the beach or the mountains and on the doorstep of Charlotte if you want City nightlife with access to professional sports.

As one of the founding members of our clinical team, you will play an integral role in patient care, protocol development, and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with endocrine disorders, with a focus on: diabetes and thyroid disorders.
  • Utilize advanced diabetes technologies (CGMs, insulin pumps, etc.) and provide education on their use.
  • Collaborate with the supervising endocrinologist on complex cases while maintaining significant clinical independence.
  • Develop and implement patient-centered care plans, emphasizing evidence-based management and preventive care.
  • Interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies related to endocrine disorders.
  • Contribute to workflow optimization, patient education initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
  • Serve as a clinical leader and resource for other staff members as the practice grows.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and unrestricted South Carolina license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in endocrinology or internal medicine, Strong understanding of diabetes management, endocrine pharmacotherapy, and chronic disease management.
  • Excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, and patient engagement abilities.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to contribute to the practice.
